And just like that Summer is slowly on its way out! I decided since I began the summer with some waterside minis, this would be the best way to close it out! As a Charleston photographer, it can be pretty hard to do portraits in this summer heat without us all being a melted mess at the end. What better way to keep cool than to have your session on the lake with a nice breeze and some water to stroll around in? I have shot many different types of sessions out here; one of my favorites is Maternity!

This is probably one of my favorite places to do Maternity Portraits in Charleston because my expecting Mama’s can keep cool a lot easier with all the shade and water. Add in a little golden hour light and it makes for a perfect photo!

Another thing I like about this location is that there are plenty of places to sit as well as a couple of different backgrounds to work with.

Another one of my favorite sessions to do out here is Engagement Portraits! As a wedding photographer, I am always looking for new locations to take my clients to to create the most perfect art for them to use around their home! I have also had clients use their engagement portraits for canvased art for their wedding and it is such a sweet touch!

Such beautiful light during golden hour. I just cannot get enough of that late afternoon sunset.

Remember the many backgrounds I talked about earlier? Shoot one way and you get the water off of the lake and then turn around and you get a perfect woodsy background! The best of both worlds!

Maternity and Engagement photos are not the only sessions I can shoot out here! I have done many family portraits as well and they always end up a hit!
